likeness

truth is the making of a loving space

this kind of talk about truth,
envisioning a death prior to considering life,
that is one of those rare thoughts,
whose uniqueness is so potent that
it goes on to become the new boundaries of likeness

spider-web tattoos warn on the elbow,
signifying an institution has been served,
colleagues with such titles as professor, scholar,
are often an exquisite mix of arrogance, pomposity
and paranoia, with some reckless insecurity thrown in

shifting thoughts, dreams, dying of augmentation,
discussing reflections, pondering an observation,
preoccupied by deliberation, all this turned out to be
as rewarding as it was enlightening but every once in
a while, someone extraordinary, unexpected, makes a
stir by arguing that life is much more than making pretty
pictures, the out-come is a splendid new arrangement
of the most significant matters of the moment, life is made of
a birth and a death and truth is evidence of the relics of survival
