the subject matter is all there is
the surface is secondary
celebrate the ridiculous, tragic and beautiful, ordinary
ruminating on the alleged suicide/death/police murder of my affections
i realise now that the first day i was only
barely looking, i thought i was looking,
but i was only getting a bare inkling of what's in
these qualities or conditions of being
i'm only just starting to look
she has developed an obsession with my
image of myself, in her lap the head, the neck,
the arm, the hair ... the slurred mouth appearing
nearly natural
the individuals who are weeping before my image remarked
"are you having the same religious experience as I am"
that people cried when confronted with his likeness
proved to him that he was communicating basic human emotions
and it made her feel that there was an element of understanding in my manifestation
