he remains the most combative figure in the universe

His reputation precedes him,
he is cerebral, single-minded, austere,
steely eyed and uncompromising

'I was thrown out of nearly everything,
for really stupid reasons,'
he says in a pissed off manor,
as his unyielding gaze dissolves
into a childlike grin

He may indeed be all these things but he is also,
it turns out, a true romantic and an electrifying don giovanni

He pauses, still grinning, then says:
